Terms of Service
Last Updated: 07/04/2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any purchases made through it.
1. About us
This website is operated by Corey Austin trading as Stitch in Time, a sole trader based in England.
Business address: 17 Cliffe Avenue, Margate, CT9 5DU
Contact email: help.stitchintime@gmail.com
Where we refer to “Stitch in Time”, “we”, “us”, or “our”, we mean Corey Austin trading as Stitch in Time.
These Terms apply to sales made to consumers through this website. They are not intended for business-to-business sales.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By using this website, placing an order, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully before ordering. We recommend that you save or print a copy for future reference. UK online selling rules require traders to make terms available in a form customers can store and reproduce.
3. Our products
We currently sell made-to-order printed and embroidered clothing.
We try to describe and display our products as accurately as possible. However, product images, mock-ups, and on-screen colours are illustrative only. Because our garments are made to order, there may occasionally be slight variations in colour appearance, print placement, embroidery placement, size, or finish.
Nothing in this section affects your legal rights if goods are faulty, significantly different from their description, or otherwise not in conformity with the contract. GOV.UK states that consumers have legal rights where goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
4. Who can buy from us
Our website is currently intended for customers in the United Kingdom.
We may decline or cancel orders where delivery is requested outside the UK or where we are unable to fulfil the order.
5. Prices and payment
All prices on our website are listed in GBP (£) and include any applicable taxes.
We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged unless and until that changes.
You must pay for your order in full at checkout using one of the payment methods made available on the website. UK online selling rules require traders to make clear that customers have to pay when placing an order and to display clearly how customers can pay, including delivery costs.
6. Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to buy the selected products subject to these Terms.
You will have an opportunity to review your order and correct input errors before completing checkout. UK online selling rules require traders to take reasonable steps to let customers correct errors before placing an order.
After you place your order, we will send an order confirmation email. This confirmation does not necessarily mean that we have accepted your order. We may accept or reject orders at our discretion, including in the circumstances described in section 7 below.
7. Our right to refuse or cancel orders
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order, including after an order confirmation has been sent, where reasonably necessary. This includes where:
a product is unavailable;
there is an error in pricing, product description, or other website content;
we suspect fraud, misuse, or unauthorised activity;
we are unable to deliver to the address provided;
fulfilment is not possible for operational reasons;
we are required to do so by law.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund you for the affected item or order.
8. Delivery
We currently sell to customers in the UK only.
Delivery costs and available delivery options will be shown at checkout. We aim to dispatch and deliver within the estimated timeframes stated on the website or at checkout, but all delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Unless we agree otherwise with you, goods must be delivered within 30 days. GOV.UK says traders must deliver goods within 30 days unless another timeframe has been agreed with the customer.
You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery information is accurate.
9. Your right to cancel
If you buy from us online, you usually have the legal right to cancel your order for a standard, non-personalised item within 14 days from the day after you receive it, without giving a reason. If you cancel, you then have another 14 days to return the goods. GOV.UK states that online customers generally have 14 days from delivery to cancel and another 14 days to return the goods.
To exercise your right to cancel, please contact us at help.stitchintime@gmail.com before returning any item.
We will provide refunds in accordance with our Returns and Refund Policy and your legal rights.
If we fail to tell a customer about their cancellation rights, GOV.UK says the cancellation period can be extended for up to 12 months.
10. Returns and refunds
Our Returns and Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
In summary:
non-faulty cancellation returns must be reported within the legal cancellation period;
customers are responsible for return postage on non-faulty returns;
refunds for valid cancellation returns will include the item price and standard outbound delivery cost where required by law;
faulty, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed goods will be handled in line with your statutory rights.
GOV.UK says that online customers who cancel in time must be refunded within 14 days of the trader receiving the goods back, and that standard delivery costs must also be refunded.
11. Faulty, damaged, or incorrect goods
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described, or the wrong item has been sent, please contact us at help.stitchintime@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order details and, where possible, photographs of the issue.
Consumers have legal rights where goods are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described.
12. Made-to-order goods
Our products are generally made to order.
However, unless a product is clearly stated to be personalised or made to your specification, your usual cancellation rights for distance sales will still apply. The common exemption from cancellation rights is for genuinely bespoke or personalised goods, not merely standard made-to-order stock. GOV.UK’s distance-selling guidance requires traders to explain how customers can cancel and when they lose that right.
13. Sale and discounted items
Sale or discounted items have the same legal rights as full-price items. GOV.UK says customers have the same refund rights on sale items as on full-price items.
We do not offer any additional voluntary returns rights beyond those required by law unless we expressly state otherwise.
14. Customer accounts
You may be able to create an account on our website.
If you do, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity carried out under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
We may suspend or close accounts where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, fraud, or a breach of these Terms.
15. Acceptable use of the website
You must not use this website:
for any unlawful purpose;
to interfere with, damage, or disrupt the website or its security;
to upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
to attempt unauthorised access to the website, server, accounts, or data;
to scrape, copy, harvest, or use website content in an automated or systematic way without permission;
to use the website in a way that infringes our rights or the rights of others.
We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.
16. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, designs, artwork, logos, branding, product imagery, and site content, is owned by or licensed to Stitch in Time unless otherwise stated.
You may view this website for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt, publish, sell, or exploit any part of the website or our designs without our prior written permission.
17. Third-party platforms and services
Our website is hosted on Squarespace and payments are processed through the payment methods made available via the site. Order fulfilment may be carried out through third-party production or fulfilment partners, including Inkthreadable.
Your use of this website may also be subject to the terms, policies, and technical limitations of those third-party services where relevant. However, your contract for products purchased through our website is with Corey Austin trading as Stitch in Time, unless clearly stated otherwise.
18. Privacy and cookies
Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle personal data and cookies.
19. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that, we are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable.
We supply products for domestic and private use only. We are not liable for business losses such as loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
20. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, disruptions to transport or courier networks, severe weather, supply interruptions, or failures affecting third-party platforms or service providers.
Where this happens, we will try to contact affected customers and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The version in force at the time you place an order will apply to that order. The latest version will always be posted on the website with the effective date shown at the top.
22. Complaints and contact
If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints, please contact us at:

23. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live if that is permitted by law. If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law allows otherwise.
